Magpie geese fly in formation along a set path above a lake with ripples emanating from
two shore lines. Hand painted with cold wax resist and thickened dye paint on Japara cotton.

A brown snake merges into the brownish water of the wetlands. The seductive, spiralling
movement catches the eye. Japara cotton fabric is hand painted with cold wax resist and
fabric paints. Hand and machine embroidered with metallic threads.

This small landscape is evocative of the scruffy, untidy nature of NSW farmland,
left unloved and uncared for. Machine pieced couched cotton fabric,
leftovers from previous work. Free machine quilted.

Images of the wetland are created using left over pieced quilt trims. Dye paint adds shadow and depth to the finished work.

Prints of the artist's hands and feet plus hand stitching are evidence of her existance
and remind her of our intransience and how little we leave behind.
Most of the fabric was sik screened using throw away plastic rubbish as resist
under the screen. The fabric was then pieced, sliced and pieced again
to create the feeling of commotion and unrest.
